Features
Zirconium Dioxide, (ZrO2) is a white crystalline oxide of zirconium and typically produced by the reduction of chemical zirconium oxychloride. Its mostly naturally occurring form with a monoclinic crystalline structure at room temperature and transitions to tetragonal and cubic at higher temperatures. When the zirconia is blended with some other oxides, the tetragonal and/or cubic phases are stabilized. Effective dopants include Yttrium oxide(Y2O3), Magnesium oxide(MgO) or Calcium oxide(CaO).
Applications
Zirconium dioxide is used in precision ceramics, electric components like capacitance (MLCC), piezoelectric ceramic (PZT), glass additive, refractory materials, polishing materials.
